You can save your queries so they can be run again in the future without redefining all of the filters for the query.  In order to create a saved query, run your query as usual.  After the list of loans populate in the tree bar, click on the drop down in the "Search for a Loan" field and click on "save last query criteria".  You will then need to name the saved query.  That query can be run again in the future by clicking on the dropdown arrow in the "Search for a Loan" box and selecting your saved query.
