In order to delete a loan, the loan must be 0 balanced and closed first.  Click on the transaction entry button, check the payoff box, then place a check in the closed loan check box and click OK.  Continue clicking OK through the message boxes that pop up and you will be taken back to the main tab of the loan.  Click on the delete icon in the ribbon bar and the loan should delete
