If the loan CDFI fields are grayed out, it is likely that the CDFI fields on the borrower's contact record have not been populated yet. Click the add button on the CDFI tab for the borrower populate the necessary fields and click save. Navigate to the CDFI tab on the loan and you should be able to click the add button and populate the loan CDFI fields.
